Soul Retrieval using Body-Postures
July 24th (evening, beginning with a shared meal ) - July 27, 2008
With Ki Salmen, www.dream-vsions.de
In the world of shamanism we find the assumption that in situations of shock, great pain, or abuse a person's life can become so unbearable that soul parts become lost. This means they leave the person and go to an unknown place. Afterwards, they cannot be reached, they are "lost." Following such a loss a person can have many different symptoms, such as tiredness, the feeling of not being in one's own body any more, and lack of concentration. In addition, there may be some physical illness.
This work of retrieving soul parts with Body-Postures is a profound self-healing process. The exciting news is: you can do all of it yourself. As participants we travel to another reality where we search for our soul parts, bring them back and then get help to integrate these parts back where they belong. After the journey is complete we share our experiences in the group. The group leader then works with individuals to help them understand more about the situation where the original soul loss took place.
Beginners are welcome, as well as those who are familiar with the body postures. Experienced participants will get extra teachings at the level on which they are currently working with the postures. People with severe psychological or physical symptoms should check with us before registering.
Ki Salmen has a degree in Educational Psychology and has worked in private practice since 1989. She is an instructor for trance postures in Germany and includes shamanic work from various traditions in her workshops.
Cost: $450 - Food and lodging inclusive ($390 if booked before 15th April 2008)

Authentic Movement and Ecstatic Postures
August 20-24, 2008
With Bat-Sheva Koren, Ph.D.,dance therapist, who teaches Authentic Movement in Israel and Toronto. She is the director of the Toronto Dance Movement Therapy Institute and her book, "From Golem to White Eagle," is the story of her personal journey with movement therapy and ecstatic trance postures; and Belinda Gore, Ph.D., president of Cuyamungue, author of Ecstatic Body Postures and Longing for Ecstasy . They are looking forward to bringing this workshop to the rich native landscape of New Mexico, where you can feel the ancestor spirits' guidance. A special movement space has been created in the secluded hills of the Institute property.
The core of Authentic Movement is a mystical discipline: the act of being present and awakening into Direct Experience. To be connected in the authenticity of the moment-through stillness, movement or witnessing-is an ongoing path as body consciousness develops and guides the individual from within. Participants will learn to focus on the role of the body in Direct Experience, listening to the choices the body makes, and recognizing the cues from within to surrender to Experience. From inner stillness, movement or witnessing the mystery of pure consciousness becomes present and can guide us in the creation of a spiritual community.
By holding a ritual posture in the presence of rhythmic sound, with accompanying ritual for preparation, the awakened body becomes the portal for experiencing the world of spirit and the vessel for integrated consciousness. Participants will learn to focus on the role of ritual postures in assisting awareness of the Spirit realm.
Participants need some previous experience in either Authentic Movement or Ecstatic Trance.
