2020 Workshops, Events & Training, Cuyamungue Institute – Santa Fe NM
Each workshop contains a specifically designed series of Ecstatic Trance Postures to provide the context for a journey of self-discovery. We go deep within utilizing the Ecstatic Trance Postures Method – which includes a established ritual journey method. Introductory workshops are are prerequisites for advanced classes. There may be adjustments to dates, times and details, and additional events and workshops will be added. Contact us prior to booking flights and making travel arrangement.**
**UPDATE: Here is our policy regarding Coronavirus and workshop cancellation. With students traveling from around the US and the World we will continue to monitor the spread of Coronavirus. Students will get a full refund of the workshop fee if it becomes necessary to cancel workshops from our side.
As for travel arrangements, based on the these concerns, we recommend only booking flights that are refundable and/or allow changes. Some students may want to choice to purchase travel insurance.

Interested in extending your stay? Directly either before or after your workshop are several exciting local events in the Santa Fe area. Workshop participants are invited to stay a few extra days. This is for workshop participants only. We offer this for those who wish to come early or stay after workshops to better accommodate your travel days, and a chance to stay with us while you explore all that Santa Fe has to offer. Nightly fees at CI are $30/night. This includes DIY breakfast the next morning. You’ll have access to the kitchen to make your own meals with food you bring. Note that you may need to accommodate our cleaning crew’s schedule with a limited window to get ready for the next workshop. 
July 14 – 19, 2020 – Masked Trance Dance
Join in on a long-standing tradition at the Institute! From our visionary spirit journeys in the Kiva, we create masks and costumes, while weaving together a mythic dance in celebration of the Web of Life. The power of this event is amplified by having a full workshop. 
July 28 – August 2nd, 2020 – Instructor Training
If you hear the call to become a Certified Instructor and teach the safe and effective process of Ecstatic Trance Postures. There are people around the world who have responded to a deep call to teach The Cuyamungue Method. The fact that you are investigating the process of becoming an instructor is the first step, thank you for your interest. When you feel that call here are the general steps to becoming certified as an instructor. Please feel free to contact us with any and all questions.
Sept 18 – 23, 2020 – Initiatory Training on the Autumnal Equinox
Explore, experience, and expand consciousness through the Ecstatic Trance Posture Method. This a powerful, compacted introduction to this work. You will be introduced to a succession of consciousness expanding experiences. Enjoy the power of the group experience at our 472 acre Institute.
We will honor the Autumnal Equinox. This is the point after which the nights become longer than the days, as the North Pole tilts away from the sun. This is the time when there is an equal amount of day and night. While we honor the gifts of the earth, this is a time of balance and reflection. We also will look at the clues to the importance of astronomy in ancient cultures. It was a backbone of their social, political, and ritual ideology. Throughout human history the study of the sky has been a vital part of understanding our connection to the universe. The details of our Equinox ritual will include an ancient practice of mapping the Sun while incorporating specific Ecstatic Trance Postures, the power of the land and the magic of the New Mexico sky. Open to both Introductory and Advanced Participants!

Men’s Conclave – TBA – This gathering provides a chance for us to share as friends, mentors, brothers, fathers, sons. Amid our fast changing, fast-paced lives, the demands and pressures that men face today require an extraordinary level of courage, authenticity and tenacity. We seek ways to boost our self reliance, independence, and intuition as men, and to regain and strengthen our spirituality as men. The current climate around the world, socially, environmentally, politically and spiritually requires us to be fully functioning human beings and authentic, spiritual warriors.
